1. What is the Product Installation Process?

There are two ways to purchase and install the products

Using an Advance Purchase Code

BUY ADVANCE PURCHASE CODE > INSTALL > ACTIVATE

This method is especially recommended for multiple installations or where the computer on which the product will be installed is not available at the time of purchase.

Step 1: Buy an Advance Purchase Code for each computer from your distributor or from the support website
Complete steps 2 to 4 for each installation:
Step 2: Insert the CD and install the program and obtain the Product Serial Number
Step 3: Link to the product website and obtain an Activation Code, using the Advance Purchase Code and the Product Serial Number
Step 4: Activate the full program with the Activation Code

Installing in one operation

INSTALL > PURCHASE > ACTIVATE

On the computer on which the product will be installed:

Step 1: Insert the CD and follow the on-screen instructions for installing the program that you wish to purchase. After installation you will be given a Product Serial Number
Step 2: Purchase the Activation Code from your distributor or from the support website, quoting the Product Serial Number
Step 3: Activate the full program with the Activation Code

2. Can the CD be used for more than one installation?

Yes. The CD contains the full programs for:


IMDG Code on CD

IMDG Code e-learning

It can be used for an unlimited number of installations of either or both programs. An Activation Code must be purchased for each installation.

3. What is a Product Serial Number?

The Product Serial Number is created during the installation and is unique to the computer on which the program is installed. The Serial Number is needed to purchase the Activation Code.

4. What is an Activation Code?

When you first install the program you have only very limited functionality. In order to unlock the full program you must purchase an Activation Code from your distributor. You must supply the Product Serial Number to your distributor in order to purchase an Activation Code.

When you receive your Activation Code, simply open the program again and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note: the Activation Code for one computer cannot be used with another computer.

5. How do I purchase an Activation Code?

When the program is first installed, you can purchase an Activation Code immediately by following the on-screen instructions. You will be presented with a number of options:


You can create an email to your Distributor

You can print a form for faxing to your Distributor

You can telephone your Distributor quoting the Product Serial Number

Note: It is important to contact your Distributor to purchase your Activation Code. Your Distributor can provide some local support. The Distributor contact details are normally included with product packaging.

7. What is an Advance Purchase Code?

An Advance Purchase Code entitles you to obtain an Activation Code from the support website for each product. This simplifies multiple installations and situations where the computer on which the program will be installed is not available at the time of purchase. You can buy Advance Purchase Codes without having to give Product Serial Numbers.

8. How do I re-install the product if my computer has to be replaced?

9. I get a warning message saying 'Bad activation code' when I try to activate the product

In the first instance please check that you have entered the activation code correctly. If you are doing more than one installation, does the activation code correspond to the Product Serial Number for this computer? If the 'Bad activation code' message still appears please contact your distributor or supplier and ask them to re-confirm your activation code. If the problem persists go to the support website for the product (www.imdgsupport.com or www.imdge-learning.com) and complete a Support Request.

10. Multiple and network installations

IMDG Code on CD network installations
The IMDG Code must be installed on every computer on a network that needs to run the IMDG Code. The first installation is known as the host computer. The host computer can be any computer on the network that can be accessed by the other computers. The IMDG Code must also be installed on the other computers (known as clients). The installation screens will guide you through accessing the data files that are held on the host computer.

IMDG Code on CD multiple installations
This CD can be used for single or repeated installations of the program. Each installation will require a new Activation Code.

IMDG Code e-learning
This is not a network product. This CD can be used for repeated installations of the course. Each installation will require a new Activation Code.

11. What is the Refund Policy?

  A full refund of the purchase price will be made where:
 
1  The request for the refund is received within 14 days of the date of purchase.
 
2  The product has not been activated.
 
3  In the case of multiple Activation Codes and multiple Advance Purchase Codes, a refund will only be made for the complete batch purchased and unused. Refunds cannot be made for individual Advance Purchase Codes from a batch.
